Kitten Kong Records is a sole-artist label formed to record and
promote the music of Melissa Forbes. Based in Brisbane, Australia,
Kitten Kong is a partnership between Melissa and her husband: lawyer,
manager and lyricist Jim. The Kitten Kong "sound" is a distinctive
blend of jazz, soul and r ' n b.
Kitten Kong takes its name from an episode of the classic 1970s BBC
comedy The Goodies, in which the three fools find themselves pursuing a
giant kitten through the streets of London. It reflects Melissa and
Jim's love of a laugh, and symbolises big things from small
beginnings.
